According to Novyny.live: Ukrzaliznytsia now offers car shipping services using specialized auto-carrying trains operating from several cities across Ukraine. This option allows drivers to travel by train alongside their vehicles, providing a convenient solution for long-distance trips or relocations between urban centers.
How the Process Works
To transport your car, you must first reserve a spot on the auto train. Reservations can be made online or at station luggage offices. The auto-carrying carriages run routes from:
- Kyiv
- Kharkiv
- Odesa
- Dnipro
- Lviv
- Uzhhorod
Vehicle owners are required to bring the car's technical passport and a personal identification document.
A key requirement is that the vehicle height must not exceed 170 cm. The shipping cost starts at 1,546 UAH per ton of the car, and reserving a spot costs 150 UAH. Processing of transport documents takes three business days from the reservation confirmation date. If a spot is reserved three days before departure, payment must be made at the ticket office within 24 hours of receiving the notification.
