Waste Collection Fees in Odesa Surpass 30 Hryvnias per Person as Prices Rise.
Updated Waste Disposal Rates for Odesa Residents
According to Novyny.live: Starting in July 2023, households in Odesa will see new charges on their waste disposal bills, with rates exceeding 30 hryvnias per person depending on the service provider. These costs vary based on the type of housing and the company responsible for collection.
For residents of apartment buildings, the monthly fees per person are as follows:
- 'Eco-Renaissance' — 35.49 UAH
- 'TV-Ser Rus' — 34.80 UAH
- 'Odeskomuntrans' — 34.13 UAH
- 'Clear-City' — 33.99 UAH
Those living in private homes face higher charges:
- 'Eco-Renaissance' — 61.26 UAH per person
- 'TV-Ser Rus' — 60.07 UAH
- 'Odeskomuntrans' — 58.89 UAH
- 'Clear-City' — 58.68 UAH per person
As of late June 2023, Odesa’s municipal authorities had not issued any official decisions regarding further increases. This suggests that the July rates will remain in effect for the near term.
Service Providers by District
Each district in Odesa is assigned a specific waste management company:
- Primorsky District — 'TV-Ser Rus'
- Kyivsky District — 'Clear-City'
- Peresyp District — 'Eco-Renaissance'
- Khadzhibey District — 'Odeskomuntrans'
Understanding these rates and service assignments helps residents better manage their utility expenses. The fee hikes in Odesa are part of a broader trend of rising utility costs across Ukraine, which is especially challenging amid ongoing economic uncertainty. Transparent pricing and service allocation are key to maintaining public trust in these essential services.
