Oschadbank Extends Expired Cards Through 2026: Which Customers Risk Account Freezes.
Oschadbank Card Validity Extension
According to Novyny.live: Oschadbank has pushed the expiration date for older payment cards to June 30, 2026. However, some account holders may still face freezes before that deadline due to suspicious transactions. Starting April 1, 2024, customers must submit a declaration confirming they receive no Russian payments, and identity verification must be completed by July 1, 2024.
Account Freeze Risks
Customers whose cards expired between February 2022 and October 2025 and who have conducted no transactions could see their accounts blocked. This decision may be enforced as the bank intensifies its monitoring of financial activities.
Oschadbank representatives advise clients with questions about card freezes to contact the call center at the financial hotline 0800210800.
“For a detailed check on whether your card has been blocked and the reason, we recommend calling the contact center from the financial number,” Oschadbank stated.
Card freezes before the expiration date could come as an unpleasant surprise for many Oschadbank customers. Given the new requirements, it is crucial to adhere to the specified deadlines and procedures to avoid losing access to your accounts. Customers should stay vigilant and complete all necessary actions on time to keep their cards active. This situation could affect clients' financial stability, so monitoring bank policy changes and responding to requests is essential to prevent account freezes.
