Oschadbank Drops Fees on Pension Cards: New Rates Take Effect July 1, 2026.
Oschadbank Updates Its Fee Structure
According to Novyny.live: Starting July 1, 2026, Oschadbank will introduce a revised fee schedule. Under these new terms, the monthly service charge for Mastercard Debit World pension cards will be eliminated—a move that could provide financial relief for retirees who rely on these cards. At the same time, the bank is raising the cost for maintaining dormant accounts, which will increase to 150 hryvnias per month.
The Ukrainian state-owned lender stated that this tariff review aims to improve customer service and respond to shifting market conditions. Notably, Oschadbank cards that expired in February 2022 will remain valid until December 31, 2026. This extension allows cardholders to continue using their existing cards without needing replacements until that cutoff date.
How These Changes Affect Customers
The updated tariffs are expected to reshape the financial habits of various customer groups. By scrapping the pension card service fee, the bank is taking a significant step to support pensioners, potentially easing their financial burden amid economic uncertainty. Conversely, the higher fee for inactive accounts may encourage clients to use their accounts more frequently in order to avoid extra charges.
