New Options for Buying Foreign Currency at Oschadbank

According to Novyny.live: Starting in 2026, Oschadbank will offer its clients two distinct methods for acquiring foreign currency: in person at a bank branch or remotely via the 'Mobile Oschad' application. This initiative provides customers with a choice between traditional service and modern digital convenience, aligning with the growing demand for fast and flexible financial transactions.

Requirements for Remote Currency Purchase

To use the remote purchasing option, clients must first open a foreign currency card. This requires having active cards in both the national currency (hryvnia) and the desired foreign currency (US dollars or euros). The minimum exchange amount is set at 500 hryvnia, while the maximum limit for buying foreign currency is 50,000 hryvnia per month.

It is important to note that the validity of older Oschadbank cards expires on June 30, 2023, prompting clients to update their cards to ensure future access to currency operations. The bank is actively implementing new technologies to provide clients with convenient access to financial services at any time. This move is part of a broader digital transformation in Ukrainian banking, aimed at improving customer experience and security. Upgrading cards is also a crucial step for enhancing transaction security, as older cards may not meet contemporary protection standards.

These changes at Oschadbank reflect a wider industry trend toward the digitization and automation of financial services, offering clients faster and more convenient access to their funds. This development could influence the overall foreign exchange market in Ukraine by increasing competition among banks to provide accessible and user-friendly financial services.
