Pope Roman condemned plans to conquer the world: what Leo XIV warned about

According to ТСН: Pope Leo XIV expressed concern during his New Year's sermon about the spread of plans to conquer the world through "military strategies disguised as hypocritical speeches."

In his speech, he called for a wise, benevolent, and merciful approach, stating:

"Brothers and sisters, at this moment we feel the need for a wise, benevolent, and merciful plan; let it be a free and liberating plan, peaceful and faithful"
. These words were spoken during the First Vespers ceremony in St. Peter's Basilica.

The Pope also noted that there are currently "other plans":

"These are rather strategies aimed at conquering markets, territories, spheres of influence. Military strategies hidden behind hypocritical speeches, ideological proclamations, false religious motives"
.

Leo XIV, who became pontiff in May after the death of Pope Francis, led the last service of the year at St. Peter's Basilica, where the hymn "Te Deum" is traditionally sung in gratitude for the past year.

Moreover, the Vatican is working on the possibility of a papal visit to Ukraine. Apostolic Nuncio Visvaldas Kulbokas stated that he does not rule out Leo XIV's arrival.

In a world where political conflicts and controversies are becoming increasingly evident, the Pope's calls underscore the importance of peace and dialogue. Leo XIV's visit to Ukraine could also be a significant step in strengthening support for the Ukrainian people in difficult times. Observing the situation in the region, one can hope that his words will inspire constructive discussion and a desire for peace.
