The USA may provide Ukraine with Tomahawks: how the missiles will change the war.
According to The Sun: While Vladimir Putin sends masses of Russians to the front in Ukraine, his capital remains almost unscathed by the war.
Experts note that the horrific events occurring at the front are absolutely incomparable to the comfortable peaceful life in Moscow.
ReutersWhile air raid sirens sound in Kyiv daily and missile strikes have become commonplace, life in Moscow remains at the same level.
According to research, half of the residents of Moscow claim to feel no personal or financial impact from the war.
Additionally, half of those surveyed stated that they do not know anyone fighting in Ukraine, according to information from the Levada Center.
Analyst from Russia Mark Galeotti emphasized that the capital remains protected from the destruction that many cities in Ukraine suffer from.
“In Moscow, you practically do not feel that the country is at war,” he noted.
Rare instances of advertising posters and drone attacks only occasionally remind that Russia is part of the largest European conflict since World War II, added Galeotti.

Expert Kir Giles explained why Putin created a sort of bubble for his prestigious capital.
“If the war touches big cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg, it will be a completely different scenario,” he said.
Muscovites sharing their experiences on social media note that their daily lives have hardly changed since Putin's invasion, which has led to the displacement of nearly 10 million Ukrainians.

Moreover, there is a belief that the war has had less impact on the residents of Moscow as local officials have tried to shield the population from the consequences of the conflict.
“Most people try to isolate themselves from the harsh reality of war,” concluded John Foreman.
It is noticeable that Putin hopes Muscovites will stay as far away as possible from the realities of war, with no military actions on their territory. However, with the threat of modern missiles being supplied to Ukraine, this bubble may be at risk.

It is important to note that in the war, mobilization has significantly affected the situation. Studies show that most of the draftees consist of ethnic minorities and residents of poorer regions.

Nevertheless, despite the gruesome images of war in the east, people in Moscow continue to live their usual lives, many of them prefer not to notice the complex realities.
