Crossing the border via the reserved queue is now available at the 'Chop-Zahony' crossing point
Starting from February 10, international passenger carriers using the 'Chop-Zahony' crossing point with Hungary will be able to cross the border at a specific Time reserved in the eQueue system.
According to the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development, the new queue system applies to both regular and irregular transportation. Now all international passenger carriers crossing the border at this crossing point must register for a specific time of crossing.
Regular carriers will be able to choose available time slots provided by the official permit for regular routes. Irregular carriers will have the opportunity to select remaining slots for which no regular route permit was issued or those not utilized by regular carriers.
It is already possible to book a specific time for crossing the border at 23 out of 28 crossing points with the eQueue system. This new system is available for all crossing points with Romania and Slovakia, 10 crossing points with Moldova, and four crossing points with Poland.
