Attacks Target Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Regions

According to UATV: A five-year-old boy was injured today, February 14, following a Russian drone strike on the village of Kamyshevakha in the Zaporizhzhia region. Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, confirmed the attack, which preliminary reports indicate was carried out by an FPV drone targeting a road in the settlement. These frontline regions have endured relentless shelling since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion nearly two years ago.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces launched 655 strikes on 41 separate towns and villages across Zaporizhzhia Oblast. This bombardment resulted in one civilian death and three other injuries. Authorities also documented approximately 60 instances of damage to homes, vehicles, and critical infrastructure.

Casualties Reported in Kherson Region

Separately, in the neighboring Kherson region, Russian attacks using drones and artillery killed two people and wounded three others. Overnight into February 14, Russian military forces also launched a wider assault on Ukraine, firing 'Iskander-M' ballistic missiles and 112 attack drones. The situation in these southern regions remains perilous, with local residents continuing to bear the brunt of the ongoing hostilities.

The intensification of strikes in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson underscores a severe escalation of the conflict, with dire humanitarian consequences for civilians. The wounding of a young child highlights the persistent crisis unfolding in Ukraine. The continued targeting of populated areas endangers innocent lives and underscores the urgent need for enhanced civilian protection measures.
