Pension Payments for Combat Participants — How Much and For What Are Additional Payments Made in 2025.

Are Additional Payments Made for Overtime Service for Combat Participants
Combat participants can retire earlier — men at 55, women at 50. To do this, they need to have the appropriate insurance experience:
- 25 years — for men;
- 20 years — for women.
However, many veterans hope for a larger pension due to overtime service. For example, if a person has 37 years of service instead of 25, it is reasonable to expect that an additional payment will be made for all 'extra' years — that is, 12. But this is not quite the case.
The Pension Fund takes additional service into account only after 35 years for men (and after 30 for women). For each year beyond these limits, the pensioner receives a supplement of 1% of the basic pension, but not more than 1% of the minimum pension for age.
Are There Exceptions
Yes, but only for those who retired before October 1, 2011, and whose payments have not been recalculated according to the new formula since then. In such a case, supplements may be calculated based on the old norms — more than 25 years of service for men and 20 for women.
In general, the rules for calculating supplements are clearly defined in the law. Even if the situation seems unfair, the Pension Fund operates within the current legislation.
Combat participants have the right to an increase in their pension due to overtime service, but this does not mean that additional funds are automatically allocated. The Pension Fund takes this service into account only under certain conditions specified by law. For a more accurate understanding of their rights in this matter, it is better to consult with specialists.
