Pensions below 10 thousand hryvnias: who will be granted a mandatory supplement.
Ukrainians whose pension is less than ten thousand hryvnias will receive a supplement. This was reported by the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
Supplements for retirees
According to inkorr.com: People of retirement age (from 65 years old) with sufficient work experience can expect that their payouts will be at least at the level of 40% of their former salary. If the pension is less than this amount, the Pension Fund will automatically supplement it to the required level.
Amount of age supplements
Age supplements for retirees are:
- for citizens aged 70-74 years: 300 hryvnias
- for citizens aged 75-79 years: 456 hryvnias
- for citizens aged 80 years and older: 570 hryvnias
The right to these payments is granted only to those retirees whose total payouts amount to less than 10340.35 hryvnias.
Veterans of labor activity receive a pension in the amount equal to two minimum pensions.
To receive these supplements, no separate applications need to be submitted to the Pension Fund – all calculations are performed automatically.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made a decision to grant supplements to pensions for Ukrainians with small pensions, which is intended to improve their financial situation. These additional payments will reduce the financial burden on vulnerable categories of the population and support decent living conditions for elderly people in Ukraine.
In the new initiative of the Cabinet of Ministers, the needs of retirees with low incomes have been specifically considered, which indicates the government's attention to social issues. The supplements have become a logical step in supporting elderly people who often face financial difficulties. Thus, this decision is an important step towards improving the social protection of Ukrainian citizens in old age.Read also
