Pentagon: 'Ramstein' Format Meeting May Be Postponed.
The U.S. Department of Defense reported that the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, scheduled for October 12 at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, may be postponed. President Joe Biden has postponed his trip to the meeting due to the approaching Hurricane Milton. This was reported by the Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh.
Singh also noted that the 'Ramstein' format meeting might be postponed and combined with the NATO defense ministers' meeting, planned for October 17-18. There is no final decision on this yet.
'We are clarifying this situation. I will update as soon as it becomes available. We are working on the details and will inform when we have more information,' Singh said.
The meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group was to be the 25th, and U.S. President Joe Biden was to lead it. During this meeting, President Volodymyr Zelensky was to present a plan for victory in the war with Russia.
However, due to the approach of Hurricane Milton to the United States, Biden postponed his trip to the group meeting.
