Ruben Amorim responded to Neville and Rooney: why Manchester United's tactics are not to blame.
Amorim responded to the criticism
According to The Sun: Coach Ruben Amorim responded to the accusations from Manchester United legends Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney regarding his 3-4-2-1 tactics.
After United's 3-1 defeat to Brentford, Rooney stated that he has no faith in Amorim, while Neville called the decision to play Mason Mount on the left wing 'ridiculous'.

Neville also assessed United's form, describing it as 'unacceptable'.
Other former club players also spoke harshly about the team that lost three out of the first six matches in the Premier League.
“It’s normal,” Amorim noted in the context of the criticism. “You can’t avoid results. Then the burden of last season remains with you. But last season doesn’t matter to me.
“As for the system, we have already talked about it. We have had six matches this season, and we lost three. So we should focus on the matches we lost. Did we lose against Arsenal because of the system? It's your job to form an opinion.
“When you look at the game against [Manchester] City, the first thing that comes to mind at the start of the match is the system? I think you don't have thoughts about the system at that moment.”
The coach also noted that the team shows improvement compared to last season, despite only nine wins from 33 matches in the Premier League since his appointment.
“Once again, I can evaluate the games this year,” added Amorim. “For me they are completely different. There are some things that remain unchanged. But this does not relate to positions on the pitch or our style of play. There are other factors that we cannot change.”
Commemoration
United plans to wear black armbands and observe a minute of silence during the match against Sunderland at Old Trafford, following an attack on a synagogue in Manchester on Thursday.
Reports say two people were killed at the hands of Jihad Al-Shami, whom the police named as responsible for the attack.
“A crazy world we are living in right now,” Amorim expressed his condolences. “Such things happen. Certainly, our condolences to the victims, and we will honor them tomorrow.”id='6380241884112' data-video-id='6380241884112' data-account='5067014667001' data-player='default' data-usage='cms:WordPress:6.5.7:2.8.6:javascript' data-embed='default' class='video-js' data-application-id='' controls style='width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute; top: 0; bottom: 0; right: 0; left: 0;'>
Ruben Amorim's responses are a testament to his readiness for criticism and responsibility for the team's results. His comments about improvement in gameplay, despite negative results, indicate an attempt to maintain a positive atmosphere in the team. It is also important that the club does not forget to honor the memory of the victims of tragic events that happened in the city, continuing to support the community in difficult times.
