US, Ukraine, and Russia Hold Three-Way Talks in Abu Dhabi.
Key Security Talks Underway in Abu Dhabi
According to TSN.ua: High-level consultations involving the United States, Ukraine, and Russia are taking place in Abu Dhabi on February 4–5. Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, confirmed the three-way format and detailed working groups, indicating active efforts to find solutions for ending the conflict.
“We are working in the same formats as yesterday: three-way consultations, work in groups, and further synchronization of positions.”
Oleksiy Danilov
The outcomes of these negotiations are expected to be made public later, which should provide greater clarity on the results of these critical meetings.
“Our Ukrainian position is very clear: the war must end in reality. It is Russia that must be ready for this.”
Volodymyr Zelenskyy
These talks occur against the backdrop of a prolonged conflict between Ukraine and Russia that began in 2014. The direct involvement of the United States underscores the significant international interest in resolving the crisis and supporting Ukraine's efforts. These discussions are part of a series of diplomatic engagements seeking to address the ongoing war in Eastern Europe. The timing and outcome of these negotiations could substantially influence the future trajectory of the situation in the region and the relations between the participating states.
