The State Border Guard Service recorded rejections of exit for men aged 18-22: details.
According to inkorr.com: The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine records cases of rejections to cross the border for young men aged 18 to 22 who seek to leave the country. This especially applies to those who received permits to leave during the state of war. This information was provided by the spokesperson of the SBGS Andriy Demchenko.
'And in these two days there have already been several cases where boys in this age category decided to go abroad, but were in positions that only allow for official travel,' Demchenko explained.
It should be noted that the new requirements do not apply to individuals working in state service: they can leave only for official purposes.
For crossing the border, young men need to have a foreign passport and a military registration document in paper or electronic format through the 'Reserve+' application. Rejections are also received by citizens who are wanted.
'Several citizens were denied due to being wanted,' Demchenko emphasized.
Absence of 'mass escape' of young Ukrainians abroad
The SBGS representative refutes rumors of a 'mass escape' of young Ukrainians abroad after the introduction of new rules on August 28. He noted that there is currently no statistics to confirm this. Analysis indicates the absence of significant excitement.
'If on the 28th we focused on exit, then on the 29th - on the entry of this category. Therefore, we observe the movement of men aged 18-22 both in terms of exit and entry,' Demchenko summarized.
Ukrainian border guards respond to statements about a 'mass escape' of young citizens abroad and confirm that there is no large flow of persons in this age category.
Thus, the new border crossing rules for young men did not lead to the planned increase in exits. Meanwhile, the State Border Guard Service continues to maintain a cautious approach to monitoring the movement of individuals, considering the current situation in the country.
