Support for Ukrainians 60+ — what to expect in August.
In August, certain categories of pensioners may receive additional cash benefits that increase their income. For example, pensioners aged 70 and older can expect age supplements of up to 570 hryvnias. There are also additional payments for those who lived in areas of radioactive contamination after the Chernobyl disaster, which amount to 2,361 hryvnias per month.
Pensioners are also provided with benefits for public transport travel, compensation for utilities, exemption from land tax, free legal assistance, and discounts on car insurance. These aids are aimed at alleviating the lives of pensioners and saving their financial resources.
Let us remember that pensioners have the right to these benefits that help improve their quality of life. However, it is necessary to be cautious and avoid fraud aimed at extorting money from elderly people.
