Ukraine will receive the first batch of Panzerhaubitze 2000 SPGs, promised by Germany, within the next two months. A total of 6 units will be delivered.
At the beginning of the month, it was announced that Germany's joint aid package for Ukraine includes 12 Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzers.
"I think six of them will be delivered within the next eight weeks," Pistorius said.
The minister also noted that Russia's war against Ukraine proves how important artillery is in modern combat conditions.
"Ground forces can hardly operate without effective and operational artillery," he emphasized.
