According to The Sun: LUKE LITTLER is preparing for the World Darts Championship, which will take place this Christmas, and sets an ambitious goal – to win £1 million.

After interacting with passionate Dutch fans last weekend, 'The Nuke' is ready to meet the audience on this thrilling dart stage.

The Grand Prix World Championship will kick off on October 6 in Leicester, marking the start of the main tournament at Ally Pally.

In the coming days, significant competitions will take place, including the European Championship in Dortmund, the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton, and the Players Championship at Butlin’s Minehead.

The prize pool exceeds £1.5 million, and Littler has a chance to overtake Luke Humphries in the world number one rankings.

If Littler wins seven consecutive matches on the world stage, starting from the opener on December 11, he will receive the biggest prize in the sport – £1 million.

But it won't be easy, as the last holder of Sid Waddell's trophy was Gary Anderson in 2016.

While opening the new pop-up shop for Target Darts in Manchester, Littler noted:

“Time is passing, and the World Championship is already close, so it’s getting more exciting.'

“Obviously, I want to win the World Championship. All players consider the prize money, but for me, it's not only that, but also returning to the stage,' he noted.

Littler was one of seven world champions from BDO and PDC who participated in the opening of the temporary Target Darts store, which will operate for about two weeks.

This is the first such store since a similar one appeared near the West Ham stadium a few years ago.

The opening happened just three days after his 11-7 defeat by Michael van Gerwen in the final of the World Series of Darts in Amsterdam.

MVG's victory, his first title on television in two years, reminded of his powerful level of play.

During the match, Littler felt pressure from the Dutch fans who were trying to distract him.

Before one of his throws, he stopped, turned to his table, dramatically spun his water bottle as if saying: 'I will throw when I’m ready.'

Littler, an 18-year-old teenager, emphasized:

“Everything I do on stage is for me. It gives me a bit of confidence.'

“When I spun the water, it was for the fans, not for me. I was just trying to irritate them.'

“Yes, maybe I would have done that earlier. In 2023, I would have been much younger then.”

“Everything I do is for myself. I usually do not take much time. I just want to keep playing.

“The crowd was putting pressure on me, and I just had to do something to calm down and then hit those doubles.”

However, there is one thing even Littler cannot master – the theoretical driving test, which he has failed SIX times already.

The teenager from Warrington admitted: “I really tried to pass the theoretical test last week, but I didn’t post it on my Instagram.”

“Oh, it was awful. Let me tell you, I cannot pass the hazard perception test. I'm trying. I just want to pass it.'

“I have a car at home – it's not a Mercedes – so yes, it's waiting.”

The World Darts Championship is already on the horizon, and for Luke Littler, it’s an opportunity to showcase his skills. The player sets big goals and hopes that his confidence and support from fans will help him achieve the desired victory. The competition will highlight the best moments of the darts sporting scene, as its players are ready to demonstrate an extraordinary level of play.

Littler, despite the pressure from active fans, is ready for the challenges and is prepared to compete on the world stage. And although it seems that his path is just beginning, he has already managed to win the affection of the audience and is set for a serious battle for the big prize.
