6500 hryvnias per child: New payments are set to begin.
The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has launched the 'Warm Winter' program as part of the 'Winter eSupport' initiative. Funds have currently been allocated to over 590 thousand Ukrainians totaling 3.8 billion hryvnias.
The program provides for a one-Time payment of 6500 hryvnias for each recipient. Among the recipients are children from families of internally displaced persons and individuals with first group disabilities, as well as children from low-income families.
Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovich emphasized the importance of supporting internally displaced persons. The financial assistance will be used to provide children with warm clothing and to meet other family needs during the winter period.
The program covers low-income families with children, families of internally displaced persons with children under 18, and individuals with first group disabilities holding IDP status. Funds are automatically credited to the recipients' card accounts.
The assistance received is not counted when calculating the family's income for the provision of other types of social support, including housing subsidies. The 'Winter eSupport' program will be implemented throughout the winter period of 2024-2025.
