Weather in Ukraine will change drastically: frosts will replace warmth.

According to inkorr.com: This week, Ukraine will experience a sharp change in weather: summer warmth will give way to cold, rain, and the first ground frosts. Meteorologist Natalia Ptukh presented forecasts about these changes.

Autumn weather by mid-week

According to her, the middle of the week will bring truly autumn weather for Ukrainians.

'This week, a change in synoptic processes is expected, which will affect the weather in Ukraine. A cold atmospheric front will arrive, leading to a noticeable drop in temperature,' — explained Natalia Ptukh.

At the beginning of the week, warm weather will still prevail, but cooling will start on Wednesday. On Monday, September 23, most of Ukraine will have no precipitation, with only light rains possible in the west. Tuesday will bring summer heat with temperatures ranging from +22°C to +28°C in many regions.

From September 24, the cold front will begin to move in from the west, bringing rain to the west, north, and Vinnytsia region, while on Wednesday, precipitation will shift to the east. Along with the rain, noticeable cooling is expected.

Temperature drop in Ukraine

Daytime temperatures on September 24-25 in most regions will drop to +11...+16°C, while in the south and in Transcarpathia, it will be slightly warmer, ranging from +14...+19°C. At night on September 25-26, expect temperatures of +2...+7°C.

'In the western, northern, and partially central regions, even slight ground frosts are possible,' — warn the Ukrhydrometcentre.

With the cooling, the wind direction will change, turning to the north, bringing cold air. Wind speeds will range from 5 to 12 m/s. After the front passes, increased pressure will ensure the cessation of precipitation, but cold weather will persist.

Winter forecast in Ukraine

A climatologist has previously announced a winter forecast, speaking about possible snowfalls and frosts.

Thus, this week, Ukraine is expected to experience a sharp cooling, rain, and frosts. Prepare for winter weather with low temperatures, which will become relevant by mid-week. The greatest impact is forecasted by meteorologists starting from September 24, when a cold front with precipitation and significant temperature drops approaches. During the day, the temperature will fall to +11...+16°C, while at night, ground frosts are expected. It is recommended to be ready for weather changes and consider the cooling next week.
