Rain and fog will hold Ukraine until the end of the week: forecasters' prediction.

Weather in Ukraine at the beginning of December

According to ТСН: Although the calendar winter has already begun, autumn weather is expected in Ukraine soon. The first decade of December—from the 1st to the 10th—will be warm.

Forecaster of the "Ukrhydrometcentre" Natalia Ptukha noted that manifestations of meteorological winter are not expected until the end of this week. The weather will be determined by a high-pressure field, as well as warm and humid air masses. The atmospheric pressure will remain stable, and the air temperature will hold at a steady level.

"It will be cloudy, and humidity will remain high. Such a synoptic situation will certainly contribute to the formation of fogs, which, combined with overcast skies, drizzling rain, and high humidity, will create additional discomfort."

Temperature readings in different regions will be warm for December. In the coming nights, temperatures will fluctuate between 0…+5°, only in the Carpathians it will be colder—down to -3°. During the day, temperatures will mainly stay between +3° to +8°, and in the southern part of the country, it will be warmer: at night, the temperature will be +4-9°, during the day—from 7° to 12° warm.

On December 5-6, no precipitation is expected, except in the northern regions, where light rain is possible at night. At night on December 5, temperatures will fluctuate from +1° to +7°, in the east, northeast, and in Transcarpathia—from +4° to -2°.

The temperature at night against December 6 will remain similar, and daytime temperatures at the end of the week will be: December 5—+3°-9°, December 6—around +1°-+7°. In the southern regions and Transcarpathia, the air will warm up to 6°-12° warm.

In the capital and the region, from December 2-6, nighttime temperatures will vary from +2° to +4°, and during the day—from +5°-7°.

Forecasters predict that for the first week of December, snow and severe frosts are not expected. It is also noted that in some southern regions, thermometer readings may reach 12° warm.

Forecasters of the "Ukrhydrometcentre" also reported that the average monthly temperature forecast for December will range from 3° frost to 5° warm, which is 2° above normal.

Thus, the first decade of December promises to be quite warm, marked by high humidity and fogs. Meteorologists are monitoring the situation and hope that the weather will remain stable, without significant fluctuations in temperature. The noted increase in the average monthly temperature indicates atypical meteorological conditions for this period.
