Funeral payments do not affect subsidies: who will retain benefits.
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian pensioners who have received financial assistance to cover funeral costs are entitled to a housing subsidy. According to current legislation, funeral payments and other types of social assistance are not taken into account when calculating income for receiving subsidies for utility services. This approach also applies to other forms of social support, including childbirth assistance or special payments for women who hold the honorary title of 'Mother-Heroine'.
In addition to funeral assistance, the authorities have excluded other social payments from the calculation of subsidies, such as one-time payments upon the birth of a child, adoption assistance, support for orphans, and care for children under guardianship or custody.
The Pension Fund emphasized that this principle also applies to the housing assistance program for internally displaced persons who have left combat zones. This important clarification helps Ukrainians better understand the conditions for receiving subsidies for utility services.
Changes in the calculations for providing utility subsidies have a significant impact on the financial situation of Ukrainians, especially in conditions of economic instability. The absence of accounting for funeral costs and other social payments in the subsidy formula eases the lives of many families, allowing them to receive necessary support without unnecessary obstacles.
