The meter readings are not accepted, and the bill is inflated: Naftogaz reminds of an important procedure.
Naftogaz warns about the importance of checking gas meters
Naftogaz of Ukraine informs subscribers about the necessity to check gas meters, as meter readings may not be accepted if not fulfilled. This information was released by the company's press service.
For accurate billing of consumed gas, it is important to regularly check the operation of the meters. This helps confirm their proper functioning and the accuracy of measurements. If the check is not carried out in time, the meter readings may be incorrect, leading to an increase in the amounts on gas bills.
The accuracy class of the meter is determined by its testing frequency:
- Accuracy class 1 - testing every 2 years;
- Accuracy class 1.5 - testing every 8 years.
'Naftogaz' recommends performing an additional check in the following cases:
- there are doubts about the accuracy of the measurements of consumed gas;
- the testing seal is damaged;
- the meter has not been used for a long time.
All costs associated with periodic testing are borne by the gas distribution network operator in your region, including disassembly, transport, and reinstallation of the meter.
Earlier, a statement was made regarding the algorithm for reading the values of heat meters in buildings.
