The President of Warsaw proposes changes to the 800+ assistance payment for Ukrainians in Poland
The President of Warsaw and presidential candidate Rafal Trzaskowski suggested changing the conditions for the 800+ assistance payment for children for Ukrainians living in Poland. According to his proposal, payments will only be granted to Ukrainians who officially work in Poland and pay taxes.
Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk also expressed his support for this initiative. The Polish government will consider Trzaskowski's proposal. There is also a question regarding the possibility of canceling the 800+ payments for Ukrainian citizens who do not officially work in Poland and do not pay taxes. The changes could come into effect on June 1, 2025.
