On March 22, 2023, a morning requiem was held at St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral, where people could pray and reflect on his contributions to the development of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine. At 11:00 AM that same day, a funeral procession departed from St. Michael's Monastery, accompanying the Patriarch on his final journey.
