According to Espreso.tv: In May 2026, Kyiv hosted the MHP Run4Victory charity marathon, aimed at raising funds for veteran prosthetics and rehabilitation. The event featured 2 km and 5 km races, children's runs, and a relay that included veterans, public figures, artists, and bloggers. In total, more than 7,000 participants joined the fundraising effort, highlighting strong societal support. This initiative reflects a growing movement in Ukraine to channel public engagement into tangible aid for those injured in the war.

Participants and Their Contributions

Among the marathon participants were veterans like Oleksii Dernov, who has taken part in the run for three consecutive years. These veterans not only demonstrate their resilience but also inspire others through their participation.

“This isn't just a run—it's a powerful moment of unity for conscious Ukrainians who refuse to pretend the war is far away.” — Anatolii Anatolich

The event marked a significant step in supporting veterans in need of assistance. Olena Nikolaienko emphasized the importance of social backing: “When society offers its support, it plays a huge role in recovery. After receiving prosthetics, veterans reintegrate into social life, and community support is absolutely critical here.” Thus, the marathon was more than a sporting event; it became a symbol of unity and solidarity for those who defended the country.

The MHP Run4Victory charity marathon stood out as a key event highlighting society's social responsibility toward veterans transitioning to civilian life after the war. The large turnout and active public backing demonstrate Ukrainians' willingness to support those who protected their nation, as well as the crucial importance of veteran rehabilitation and social integration.

Events like this not only raise funds but also help shape a positive public image of veterans, facilitating their reintegration into society.
