In mid-August 2025, chicken prices in Ukraine are moving again - thighs have decreased in price, while drumsticks have increased. Where to find the best deals and buy your favorite fillet is the main question now.
Prices for chicken fillet in Ukraine
According to the Ministry of Finance, the average price for 1 kg of chicken fillet as of mid-August is 219.55 UAH. Compared to July, when the price was 224.49 UAH/kg, it has slightly decreased so far. However, due to the rising cost of feed, prices are expected to go up again.
In various online stores of well-known supermarkets, the prices for chicken fillet look as follows:
- Silpo - from 164 UAH/kg;
- Metro - from 227.66 UAH/kg;
- Novus - from 229 UAH/kg;
- ATB - from 233.29 UAH/kg;
- Fora - from 234 UAH/kg;
- MegaMarket - from 245.10 UAH/kg;
- Aushan - from 248.90 UAH/kg.
It should be remembered that prices may change depending on promotions and discounts. The price difference between thighs and drumsticks continues to grow.
Forecasts for borscht set
According to expert Taras Bashtannik, prices for potatoes are expected to be moderate due to high yields. As for the vegetables for borscht, they will remain stable.

To save on groceries, it’s better to be attentive and follow the promotions in supermarkets. It’s also worth noting that prices for eggs in certain chains have risen, while prices for packaged eggs remain stable.
