How they plan to punish for violating the curfew
Government representative Taras Melnychuk noted that a new draft law is under consideration, which provides for penalties for non-compliance with the curfew. These may include administrative fines, or the police will have the right to detain violators.
“Changes to Article 262 of the Administrative Offenses Code of Ukraine are also proposed, which stipulates granting the police the right to conduct administrative detentions of violators,” the message states.
Currently, the curfew regime is in effect practically throughout the territory of Ukraine, except for the Transcarpathian region. During this restriction, only individuals with special passes, such as military personnel and medical staff, can move outside. Moreover, one can only go outside during air raid alarms.
It should be noted that new night restrictions in Ukraine were introduced from 10:00 PM. Also, in the Odesa region, traffic is allowed at night due to weather conditions.
