Ukrainians explained why it is mandatory to pay for gas distribution: key reasons.
Operators of the gas distribution system explained that they ensure the functioning of gas networks, service gas equipment, and provide emergency services around the clock. This information was released by the press service of the Dnipro branch of the 'Gas Networks' company.
Customers occasionally express disagreement with the bills for gas distribution, arguing that they paid for laying gas pipelines to their households themselves. However, the company explained that gas is delivered to citizens' homes from the main gas pipeline and distribution networks deliver gas to customers around the clock.
Specialists of the Dnipro branch of 'Gas Networks' service 7,500 km of gas networks in Dnipro and other settlements, ensuring the availability of natural gas in residences around the clock.
The amount charged for the service is determined individually for each consumer. The funds received are used to support the energy front of the country, purchase materials for the repair of gas networks, ensure the uninterrupted operation of the system, pay taxes, and salaries to employees.
The 'Gas Networks' company expressed gratitude to customers who pay their gas delivery bills on time. Earlier, the projected cost of maintenance for 2025 and the need to update data with gas distribution network operators was reported.
The company explained to Ukrainian consumers that the fee for the service of natural gas distribution is mandatory, as it is used to ensure the uninterrupted operation of gas networks, the operation of equipment, and the functioning of emergency services. Customers receive gas from main gas pipelines thanks to the work of distribution networks that provide gas supply to homes and apartments around the clock.
