The USA urged its citizens to leave Venezuela immediately due to explosions in Caracas.
According to ТСН: The US Embassy reported explosions that occurred in Caracas and its surroundings. In this regard, the American diplomatic institution urged US citizens to refrain from traveling to Venezuela, and those who are already in the country to stay sheltered.
The security message states that Venezuela has the highest level of danger - Level 4: Do Not Travel, due to serious risks to US citizens. Among them are unlawful detentions, torture in detention places, terrorism, kidnappings, arbitrary application of local laws, high crime rates, civil unrest, and a weak healthcare system.
The State Department also emphasized that on December 3, 2025, all US citizens in Venezuela were advised to leave the country urgently. In March 2019, the USA withdrew all diplomatic staff from the embassy in Caracas and completely suspended its operations. All consular services, including emergency ones, remain unavailable, and the US government cannot provide assistance to its citizens in Venezuela.
Recommendations for US citizens
do not travel to Venezuela;
those who are in the country should stay in a safe place and leave as soon as it becomes possible;
maintain multiple communication channels with relatives and acquaintances outside Venezuela.
Americans in need of assistance are advised to contact the US Embassy in Bogotá or the Bureau of Consular Affairs of the US State Department.
It should be noted that earlier explosions occurred in Caracas, as a result of which the southern part of the city was left without electricity. The strikes targeted military bases, the capital's port, and Margarita Island. President Nicolás Maduro declared
a state of emergencyand mobilization, urging citizens to join the volunteer corps.
On November 28, the American president stated that the USA will "very soon" start
operations against suspected Venezuelan drug traffickers on land.
The situation in Venezuela remains tense, and these events may significantly impact the safety of citizens both in the country and foreigners. There is an escalation of conflict, and the possibility of further violent actions raises concern both in Venezuela and beyond.
