Rain on the Horizon and a Sudden Weather Shift: Temperatures Set to Hit +13°C in Ukraine.
Ukraine’s Weather Outlook for March 16
According to Novyny.live: On March 16, Ukraine will experience cooler air, with daytime highs ranging from +9°C to +13°C. In Kyiv, forecasters predict temperatures between +10°C and +12°C. Starting Monday, March 18, intermittent rainfall is expected across the country, further altering conditions.
Forecasters had already issued warnings about hazardous weather on March 15, and overnight on March 16, frost is possible, which could pose challenges for residents. According to meteorologist Natalka Didenko,
“temperatures will gradually drop starting Monday,”indicating that spring warmth has yet to settle in.
Transitioning into Spring Conditions
It’s worth noting that the spring equinox falls on March 20 in Ukraine, marking the astronomical start of the season. Against this backdrop, the mid-March weather shift is a typical pattern, as lingering winter cold fronts can still influence the climate.
The temperature drop and potential early-spring frosts may affect agriculture, as early crops could suffer from unfavorable conditions. Meteorologists urge caution and recommend protective measures for plants during cold spells. The expected rainfall from Monday could add to the challenges, but the approaching equinox usually signals a gradual improvement in weather over the following weeks.
