Returning Home: Ukraine Creates Incentives for Its Citizens Abroad.
The Ukrainian state is developing measures to encourage citizens to return to the country and assist in its reconstruction, stated Andriy Chesnokov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, during a meeting with the diaspora and the global Ukrainian community in Berlin.
He noted that such measures are an important step before the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which will take place in July in Rome.
If BMZ or other organizations conduct qualification enhancement courses for Ukrainians, there should be a Ukrainian master, a teacher who is proficient in Ukrainian terminology and can pass it on to young Ukrainians who plan to return to Ukraine.
Chesnokov noted that despite the emotional factor, not many Ukrainians are returning to Ukraine due to the war. However, the government, together with other ministries, is actively working on creating conditions for the return of citizens, especially specialists.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports is developing a 'Youth Guarantee' mechanism, which provides a guaranteed job or retraining for young Ukrainians, and also conducts activities to strengthen the national and civic identity of Ukrainians abroad together with the Ministry of National Unity.
