Russia attacked Ukraine with 95 drones: how the air defense repelled the massive strike.

Drone attack on Ukraine
On the night of August 27, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, involving 95 Shahed strike drones and other imitation drones. This information was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as conveyed by FREEДOM.
Launch routes
The drones were launched from the territories of Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation, as well as from Chаuda - the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Repelling the attack
The aviation forces, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine actively participated in repelling the attack.
“According to preliminary data, by 09:00, the air defense shot down/suppressed 74 enemy Shahed drones and other types of imitation drones in the north, south, and east of the country. Hits were recorded from 21 drones in 9 locations,” the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
Consequences of the attack
According to initial reports, as a result of a missile strike on a multi-storey building in Kherson, two people were injured.
This attack serves as further evidence of the ongoing threat to the civilian population in Ukraine. While under fire, the country continues to fight for its independence, while also ensuring the protection of its citizens. The operational response of Ukrainian forces indicates their readiness and ability to counter aggression.
