Ukraine hopes for a change in the position of NATO countries regarding airspace protection. According to the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine, Volodymyr Khandohii, more and more countries support Ukraine on this issue, particularly Poland and Romania. Deciding whether to shoot down Russian weapons flying into Ukraine is a challenging task for NATO countries. The main reason for hesitation is the upcoming elections in the United States, on which many things depend. Khandohii believes that after the elections, the geopolitical situation may change, and a new strategic direction of assistance will appear in Ukraine.
