DBR declared a new suspicion against the former parliament member from OPZZh: treason and evasion.
According to ТСН: The employees of the State Bureau of Investigation announced a new suspicion against a former member of parliament from the banned party 'OPZZh'. The ex-parliament member is likely in Russia and is accused of treason and income opacity.
The investigation established that during the winter period of 2022-2023, the suspect actively appeared on Belarusian television, openly supporting Russia's military aggression, spreading anti-Ukrainian narratives, and participating in the enemy's information-psychological operations.
Charges and Sanctions
The DBR also recorded instances of intentional non-submission of electronic declarations for 2021-2023. The man is charged with:
treason in the conditions of martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine);
intentional non-submission of declarations (Article 366-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to these articles, he could face very serious punishment - life imprisonment. Earlier, the case against this deputy had already been sent to court on charges of treason and attack on a veteran of ATO.

It should be noted that earlier in Ukraine, another member of parliament of the IX convocation from the banned party 'OPZZh' was detained, who was also wanted on suspicion of treason.
Furthermore, it is known that the Security Service of Ukraine announced the search for MP Khristenko. His disappearance was recorded on July 21, 2025. He was last seen in the village of Horenychi, located in the Bucha district of Kyiv region.

This situation illustrates how law enforcement continues its active struggle against manifestations of treason in Ukraine. At the same time, cases of searching for and detaining members of parliament indicate an increase in control over political figures associated with banned structures. It is important for Ukraine to cleanse its political space of corruption and traitors, especially in times of war.
