Amazon Prime Video launches innovative graphics for the Champions League: how it will work.
According to The Sun: Champions League fans will have the opportunity to enjoy new FIFA-style graphics in real-time thanks to an offering from Prime Video.
Prime will stream Tuesday's matches throughout the tournament, starting with Tottenham's home game against Villarreal tomorrow evening.
Amazon Prime Amazon PrimeViewers will be able to watch the matches in the traditional format, with former Tottenham stars like Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov as analysts, and to learn about new broadcasting features.
Those who choose to watch in Prime Vision mode will receive a wealth of statistics and real-time features overlaid on the match footage.
New data on the field
The screen will display a field map showing the positions of all 22 players.
Features powered by artificial intelligence will allow fans to know who is in possession of the ball as well as assess likely passing options.
In addition, labels will indicate sprint speeds, pass lengths, shot velocities, and save difficulties.
Prime has refined this system based on three years of experience broadcasting 'Thursday Night Football' in the NFL to create a unique algorithm for soccer.
“We wanted to offer viewers something new that has a purpose, not just looks good.”
“This is an alternative that does not interfere with the main viewing, but offers a new perspective.”

“This is something unique for European football, designed for true fans who are interested in tactics but are not overly fanatic.”
Prime is confident that labels for players in possession of the ball will be particularly useful for fans watching Premier League matches.

Players moving faster than 17.3 miles per hour will be highlighted, as will those who jump higher than 6 feet 8 inches to head the ball.
Shots will be automatically tracked, with instant measurement and display of their speed.
After a goal or near miss, the graphic will provide the likelihood that the shot will hit the target, as well as the goalkeeper's chances of making a save.
In addition to the position map, a 'momentum bar' will be continuously displayed on the screen, showing which team has dominated over the past five minutes.

Unlike other metrics based on ball possession, the new approach takes into account the true state of the game, recognizing that counterattacking teams may deliberately give up the ball to inflict maximum damage on their opponent during transition.
Prime plans to use 22 cameras for each match. Horner noted: “We understand this is not for everyone, but we want to offer something that really enhances the viewing experience for fans.”
The new season will also introduce the integration of 'Dynamic Tables' into the main broadcast format.
This feature will allow fans to see how the league table changes in real-time during all Champions League matches. Fans will be able to choose the “Live Standings” option in the menu, with clear markers for automatic qualification, playoffs, and teams at risk of relegation from the tournament.
