PrivatBank Extends Validity of Older Cards, but Imposes Service Limits.
Older PrivatBank Cards Remain Valid
According to Novyny.live: PrivatBank has extended the validity of older payment cards during the ongoing martial law period. However, customers should be aware of new restrictions on certain services, which particularly affect those who have relocated abroad. These legacy cards can still be used for in-store and online purchases within Ukraine. They also remain functional for cash withdrawals at ATMs, payment terminals, and bank teller windows.
For clients who require a new card, delivery is available for all six card types at a cost of 80 hryvnias (including VAT). This service is offered in over 60 countries, enabling customers residing outside Ukraine to receive replacement cards. New cards can be ordered remotely via the 'Privat24' online banking system.
Service Restrictions on Older Cards
The limitations placed on older PrivatBank cards may impact access to some banking services, so customers should note these potential changes. In cases requiring card replacement—such as fraud, physical damage, or updates to personal information—clients can request a reissue. This allows them to continue using banking services with minimal disruption.

The extension for older cards and the option for remote ordering of new ones are crucial measures to support customers facing difficulties due to wartime restrictions. This highlights the banking system's readiness to operate amid challenging circumstances and provide essential services, catering to the needs of the population both within Ukraine and abroad. As Ukraine's largest bank, PrivatBank's policies affect millions of account holders.
