PrivatBank clients report that their available credit limit on their card was automatically reduced after reaching the age of 70. This was reported on the social network Facebook.
One client claimed she had a limit of 35 thousand hryvnias, but after her 70th birthday, the bank reduced it to a few thousand. She considers this unfair and claims that the bank justifies such actions with age restrictions.
Reasons for credit limit restrictions at PrivatBank
According to the bank, the decision about the credit limit is made based on various indicators that are regularly reviewed. The size of the limit is determined for each client individually. Factors influencing this include credit history, income level, card usage activity, and others.
- Clean credit history;
- Sufficient income;
- Change in social status;
- Repayment of loans in other banks.
PrivatBank also updated its fees for money transfers via Privat24 and announced that starting from 2026, it will introduce a fee for card delivery in Ukraine and abroad.
