PrivatBank Imposes Strict Transfer Limits: What You Can Send and Receive.
New Transfer Restrictions at PrivatBank
According to Novyny.live: PrivatBank has introduced fresh restrictions on money transfers, affecting both incoming and outgoing transactions. Under the updated rules, most customers face a standard cap of up to 1 million Ukrainian hryvnias per month or a maximum of 350 transfers. These changes apply to everyone using the bank's services.
How Much Can You Receive on Your Card
For funds received onto a card, clients can expect a limit of up to 1 million hryvnias monthly. This threshold aims to maintain a comfortable level of financial activity for the majority of banking users.
What Are the Sending Limits
At the same time, senders also face restrictions. The limit for sending money is set at up to 100,000 hryvnias per month or up to 200 transfers monthly. If the bank suspects any illegal activity, it reserves the right to reduce the sender's limit to 50,000 hryvnias. These security measures are designed to protect both the institution and its clients.
How to Increase Your Limit
For those looking to raise their limit, proof of legitimate income is required. This involves submitting certain documents, which may include:
- a salary certificate
- documents related to individual entrepreneur (FOP) activity
- tax declarations
- papers confirming property sales, inheritance, gifts, dividends, or investment income
Special Conditions for Volunteers
It is important to note that volunteers are subject to a separate service procedure. To verify their financial transactions, they must provide documents such as:
- receipts, checks, or invoices for the purchase and delivery of goods
- letters or requests from military units or charitable foundations
- a volunteer activity agreement
- a volunteer ID card
- publications in open sources
Which Documents Will Not Be Accepted
It should be noted that photos, screenshots of statements from other banks, copies of passports, or taxpayer identification codes will not be accepted as proof of income. This decision aims to prevent potential abuse and ensure transparency in financial operations.
The new restrictions introduced by PrivatBank reflect the growing need to monitor financial flows amid economic instability. These changes to transfer limits may affect the habits of banking users, especially those actively engaged in business or volunteer work. The introduction of separate conditions for volunteers also demonstrates the bank's desire to support this important social initiative while maintaining oversight of financial transactions.
