Zelensky is Seeking Alternative Funding for Programs Previously Supported by the US

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that he is looking for alternative sources of funding for important programs that previously received support from the US. He made this statement to the nation on January 29.

According to Zelensky's words, he has already ordered the financing of some key areas using internal resources and has begun negotiations with partners from Europe. Among the suspended programs are projects related to distributed energy generation, ensuring the resilience of Ukrainian communities, initiatives for veterans, and the modernization of border infrastructure.

'We will look for other sources of funding,' emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky, adding that this issue also pertains to healthcare and cybersecurity.

The President also ordered an audit of the suspended US aid programs, particularly in the humanitarian, security, and social spheres. He believes that Ukraine and Europe should be more active in these fields.

Additionally, the head of state discussed global and European challenges with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and thanked her for supporting Ukraine.

On the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes of Kruty, the President visited Askold's grave to honor the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine. He also met with cadets and students of military educational institutions.
