A huge military parade was held in Washington to honor the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, which became the largest military show in recent years. More than 6,000 servicemen, various equipment, and military units participated in the event. U.S. President Donald Trump, his wife Melania, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegset were also present at the event.
According to Reuters, the costs for organizing the 250th anniversary celebration of the U.S. Army are estimated between $25 million and $45 million. This amount includes costs for the parade, transportation of equipment, accommodation, and meals for the servicemen.
At the same time, the group No Kings organized protests against President Trump's policies in various states. Trump urged the protesters to refrain from participating in the military parade.
