Ukrainian forces have isolated Kup'yansk: Russian units in the city are cut off.
According to ТСН: The defense forces of Ukraine continue the operation to clear Kup'yansk in the Kharkiv region of Russian occupiers.
The situation in the city has significantly changed after the liquidation of the enemy bulge to the north of Kup'yansk, which allowed for the closure of all opportunities for penetration and logistical support for the enemy's military forces remaining in the city.
“At the moment, a certain number of [Russian occupiers] who have hidden in corners are being neutralized every day, and they can do nothing except surrender or self-liquidate,” said a military source.
Currently, the issue of control over Kup'yansk by Russian occupation forces is not on the table. The situation appears to be that isolated Russian armed forces remain there, without any support.
“There are isolated Russian armed forces, cut off from everything, on which everyone has successfully turned their backs,” stated “Alex”.
It was also noted that the occupiers are clinging to Kup'yansk due to its strategic importance as a logistical artery. The defense forces hope for the successful de-occupation of Kup'yansk in the near future.
This operation is an important step in ensuring control over key territories and reducing the enemy's capabilities to conduct combat operations. With the reduction of the presence of Russian troops in Kup'yansk, Ukrainian units hope to strengthen their positions and restore control over the region.
