Christmas products in Ukraine are expected to rise in price by 10%: which goods to expect price increases on.
According to ТСН: Products for Christmas and New Year holidays may rise in price by approximately 10%.
This estimate was provided by Ivan Tomych, head of the Union of Ukrainian Peasantry, during a broadcast on KYIV24, discussing the goods that will be affected by this increase.
“This will include meat. First of all – pork, and products made from pork. There will be some chicken, but certainly not all. There will be vegetable oil and eggs,” says the expert.
Tomych also noted that a sharp increase in prices is not expected. However, it is important to be prepared for a price increase against the backdrop of higher demand, which is traditionally observed on December 18-21 and December 25-26.
The expert emphasized that a price increase of more than 10% will be more of an exception than a rule.
Therefore, although some products may become more expensive, a general shock for consumers is not anticipated. It is important to consider the traditional fluctuations in demand during the holidays, which can affect prices. Consumers should be attentive to the price situation when planning their holiday purchases.
