The prosecution returns funds to the state
According to inkorr.com: The General Prosecutor's Office has found that the Ministry of Defense illegally paid VAT to private companies for the supply of fuel for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to law enforcement information, from 2023 to 2025, they achieved the return of funds paid as VAT through the courts. Penalties were also imposed for the illegal use of state resources.
This year, it was possible to return 320 million hryvnias by court decision.
Only in the last few weeks, 3 court decisions totaling over 20 million hryvnias have been executed.
'The prosecution in the defense sector will continue to protect the state's interests in the budgetary sphere,' the prosecution noted.
Thus, the Ukrainian prosecution actively defends state interests, forcing private enterprises to return unlawfully obtained funds for supplying fuel to the Armed Forces. The efforts of the prosecution are aimed at combating corruption and ensuring financial discipline in the defense sector.
Countering corruption in the defense sector is gaining momentum, and the prosecution is taking steps to recover state funds. These efforts are of great importance in wartime, as ensuring financial discipline is a key factor for effective funding of Ukraine's defense needs. The execution of court decisions and the return of significant amounts of money testify to the reality of law enforcement efforts in this important area.Read also
