Russia is open to dialogue with Trump and plans to continue taking a flexible position towards him. Putin is interested in restoring economic and political ties with Washington. Political technologist Oleg Posternak believes that Russia will adhere to this strategy until it sees violations in the peaceful dialogue process. In July, when Trump criticized Putin, the Russian leader's entourage refrained from making direct counterproposals, calling it 'the right of the American president.' The situation now remains similar, but Russia is trying to expand economic and commercial relations with the USA.
