Putin simplified the citizenship acquisition process: the dictator's new decree.
Putin allowed Ukrainians to obtain Russian citizenship under a simplified procedure
Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a decree according to which Ukrainians can now obtain Russian citizenship without any restrictions. It is no longer necessary to live in Russia for a certain period or to know the Russian language, history, and laws of the country. According to this decree, citizens of Crimea and other regions can become citizens of the Russian Federation.
In addition, Putin allowed the issuance of passports to foreign military personnel who signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense. Such contracts must be for a minimum term of 1 year. Previously, graduates of a similar decree had to wait three months to obtain citizenship, but now this period has been reduced to one month.
It is also worth noting that Russian occupiers are trying to bribe pensioners in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to force them to accept Russian citizenship. At the same Time, owners of Ukrainian passports living in these territories are threatened with dismissal from their jobs.
Russia mobilized over 100,000 Ukrainians to the front
Since the beginning of Russia's invasion of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, Russia has mobilized and sent more than 100,000 Ukrainians to the front. The largest number of calls were received in regional, district centers, and mining settlements. This was reported by Colonel Yevhen Sasyko, head of the Strategic Communications Department of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
