Putin Refused to Sign Agreements with Kyiv: What He Proposed Instead.
According to ТСН: The dictator of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin stated his readiness not to sign agreements with the Ukrainian authorities, noting that Ukrainians should hold elections.
According to him, 'Signing documents with the current Ukrainian leadership is pointless.'
The Russian leader also accused Kyiv of a 'strategic mistake', allegedly out of fear of holding elections.
He emphasized that only the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has the right to extend its powers during martial law, while the president does not have such an opportunity.
Conditions for Ending the War
Earlier, Putin voiced a condition that could lead to the end of the war in Ukraine. He noted:
'Ukrainian troops, if they leave the occupied territories, then we will cease hostilities; if they do not, we will achieve this by military means. The number of territories being returned is increasing, the pace is increasing.'
Putin's statements indicate a continuation of tension between Ukraine and Russia. The position of the Ukrainian authorities, which remains firm in its commitments to the people, is important, despite pressure from the Kremlin. The situation surrounding elections and political stability in Ukraine may influence the further development of the conflict and its resolution mechanisms.
