The Verkhovna Rada began consideration of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal's resignation at a meeting on July 16. Shmyhal is currently delivering a speech in the hall.

Yaroslav Zhelezniak drew attention to this news, noting that after the voting on the draft laws, Shmyhal himself entered the hall with his government. The process of considering his resignation and the dismissal of the government has begun.
According to Zhelezniak, the Prime Minister is currently addressing the deputies, but few are listening attentively in the hall.
According to media reports, Shmyhal may head the Ministry of Defense, but there is no official confirmation of this yet.

President Zelensky earlier proposed Yulia Svyrydenko to head the government and carry out its reform.
Zhelezniak also talked about the main changes awaiting the government, including not only resignations but also the consolidation of some positions.
