According to UATV: On July 8, Russia launched ballistic missile strikes on Odesa, killing two people. Two others were wounded: a 32-year-old man is in critical condition, while a 68-year-old man is in moderate condition.
Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, confirmed that the injured were hospitalized and are receiving full medical care. He stated,
“Two victims of the enemy attack have been hospitalized. A 32-year-old man is in serious condition, and a 68-year-old man is in moderate condition.”
Fire and Aftermath
The attack sparked a fire that engulfed cargo vehicles, passenger cars, and a minibus. Firefighters contained the blaze, and emergency services remain on site. Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, also confirmed the incident.
This event is part of Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine, which began in 2014. Attacks on civilian infrastructure—such as residential areas and vehicles—have drawn widespread international condemnation and highlight the severe security challenges facing Ukrainian authorities as they work to protect their population.
