The ship's superstructure was hit, sparking a fire onboard. Out of the 17 crew members, four sustained injuries. All affected individuals received medical care at the scene and were not hospitalized.
This incident marks yet another act of aggression targeting civilians and commercial maritime operations in the area.

Previous Strikes on Civilian Targets
Just a day earlier, on July 16, 2023, Russian troops struck a residential neighborhood in Odesa, killing two people and wounding ten others. These events underscore the grave danger posed to non-combatants in the region.
Such attacks highlight the escalating hostilities in Ukraine, particularly around Odesa Oblast, raising serious concerns for civilian safety and international shipping. The increasing frequency of strikes on non-military sites has alarmed the global community and jeopardizes the lives of those not involved in combat.
